The problem with traditional approaches (or why most therapy just reinforces the problem)
Let's be honest - most anxiety therapy is about as useful as a chocolate teapot.
Why? Because traditional approaches to anxiety just teach you how to become even better at accommodating your anxiety:

Breathing exercises? Rather like trying to cure insomnia with more pillows

Positive thinking? About as effective as bringing a spoon to a knife fight

Techniques I use:
Think of it as therapy with a backbone - and a sense of humour. We'll look at anxiety's demands and laugh at them together. Because sometimes the best way to deal with anxiety is to realise how absurd its requests actually are.
Looks bizarre, works brilliantly. Like finally clearing out that mental filing cabinet where you've been storing all your "what-if" scenarios "just in case". Spoiler: You really don't need 27 contingency plans for being attacked by a shark in Spalding.
For when you need someone who will actually listen without suggesting you need to "relax more".

We'll work on practical ways to stop anxiety running your life like a particularly demanding project manager with impossible deadlines.
While I am absolutely not a fan of "script based hypnosis" (your anxiety didn't come from a template, so why should your therapy?), occasionally conversational hypnotherapy can be very useful.
No pocket watch swinging necessary.
